On behalf of His Excellency the President of the Republic and under his gracious patronage: The Prime Minister inaugurates the sixth edition of the International Exhibition and Conference for Smart Transport, Infrastructure, Logistics, and Industry, TransMEA2025, under the theme "Industry and Transport Together for Sustainable Development." The exhibition features the participation of 500 international and local companies from 30 countries, and is attended by a large number of Arab and foreign transport ministers and heads of global companies. Madbouly: This exhibition comes at a crucial time, as Egypt witnesses an unprecedented renaissance in the fields of local manufacturing and transport infrastructure. Lieutenant General Kamel El-Wazir: Organizing the exhibition this year comes within the framework of the directives of His Excellency the President and the Egyptian government's interest, represented by the Ministries of Transport and Industry, in supporting and developing transport means and services, deepening the local manufacturing sector, and maximizing Egyptian industry to meet local needs in various sectors and reduce imports. Thanks to the successes of previous editions, the exhibition has become a global platform that brings together transport ministries and leading international companies specializing in various transport fields. Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, accompanied by Lieutenant General Kamel El-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, inaugurated the exhibition. The sixth edition of the International Exhibition and Conference on Smart Transport, Logistics, and Industry (TransMEA2025) was held under the patronage of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, under the theme "Industry and Transport Together for Sustainable Development." The opening ceremony was attended by a large number of ministers, including ministers of transport and industry from Arab, African, and European countries, as well as numerous ambassadors from around the world and the heads of major international and local companies specializing in the transport and industry sectors. The exhibition enjoys broad international participation from leading global and local companies, with 500 international companies from 30 countries participating in this year's edition. Following the opening, the Prime Minister emphasized that this exhibition—held annually under the generous patronage of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi—comes at a crucial time, as Egypt is witnessing an unprecedented renaissance in local manufacturing and transport infrastructure. He noted that the industrial sector is one of the promising sectors on which the state relies, along with several other important sectors. These sectors, collectively, will drive growth and propel the national economy to deeper and more advanced horizons, improving various economic indicators and contributing to attracting substantial investments during this period. The Prime Minister stated: “There is no doubt that industry has become a key driver for increasing growth rates, deepening local manufacturing, achieving self-sufficiency, and enhancing the competitiveness of Egyptian exports. Simultaneously, the transportation system, with its various sectors—including sustainable, environmentally friendly green transport, railways, roads, bridges, seaports, land ports, dry ports, logistics zones, and river transport—represents a vital artery supporting this renaissance and facilitating trade and investment.” Meanwhile, Lieutenant General Kamel El-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, affirmed that this year’s exhibition is being held under the theme “Transport and Industry Together for Sustainable Development.” He added that it aligns with the directives of His Excellency the President and the Egyptian government’s commitment, through the Ministries of Transport and Industry, to supporting and developing transportation methods and services, deepening the local manufacturing sector, and maximizing the potential of Egyptian industry. To meet local needs in various sectors and reduce imports, and then move towards exporting abroad to generate foreign currency and support national income and the Egyptian economy. Lieutenant General Kamel El-Wazir also pointed out that, thanks to the successes of previous editions under the patronage of the President, the exhibition has become a global platform that brings together ministries of transport, authorities, and leading local and international companies specializing in various transport fields and implementing massive projects in this sector. This gives the exhibition significant momentum and provides favorable opportunities for exchanging views and reviewing the tremendous and rapid developments in the technology of various industries. The "Adly Mansour Central Interchange Giant Station" project, which was implemented through the Arab Contractors Company, one of the specialized national Egyptian companies under the supervision of the Ministry of Transport represented by the National Authority for Tunnels, won the award for the best transport project in the world for the year 2022, according to the international magazine ENR. This award is given to the best and most impactful projects on the ground and the extent of their positive contribution to society and the environment. The Adly Mansour Giant Interchange Station is a unique engineering work, as it was built on an area of 15 acres and contains 5 different means of transportation: The terminal station of the third line of the subway, which is located on an area of 3,400 square meters, and is linked with the massive Umrah workshop of the metro on an area of 65 acres. The electric train station - Al Asher / New Administrative Capital, which is located on an area of 3,700 square meters. Suez railway station on an area of 6200 square meters. Super Jet bus station for the governorates on an area of 6200 square meters. It also contains a bus lane. The station covers a giant canopy on an iron metal structure with an area of 24,000 square meters covered with weather-resistant glass and aluminum, using about 2,700 tons of steel pipes and resting on 50 circular concrete columns. An interior linking the electric train and subway stations with an area of 7,000 square meters, and a bridge linking the two stations with a length of 21 meters and a width of 18 meters to facilitate the smooth and direct transportation of passengers from one station to another. The complex is equipped with the latest monitoring, acoustics and firefighting systems. About 75,000 cubic meters of reinforced concrete, 6,700 tons of steel reinforcement and 3 thousand tons of steel construction were used in the implementation of the station. 200 engineers and 800 workers participated in the implementation of this huge work, while the working hours amounted to more than 10.5 million hours and 19 thousand working hours. For equipment, the project took 18 months of continuous work. The central station also includes a commercial mall consisting of two floors and a basement as a garage for mall users' cars with an area of 16 thousand square meters, in addition to green spaces with an area of 31 thousand square meters, parking spaces with an area of 11 thousand square meters, and roads with a length of 1,300 linear meters, in addition to a network of pedestrian tunnels. It connects from Cairo-Ismailia Road to the station with a total length of 200 meters, and 2 car parks with a total of 450 cars have been built to serve the station's patrons. The giant station and the first and second phases of the LRT electric train project were inaugurated on 3/7/2022 to provide the highest level of services to the public of passengers, in implementation of the political leadership’s directives to expand the establishment of green, sustainable and environmentally friendly mass transportation. ...
