For the second time in less than 10 days, Team Engineer/ Kamel Al-Wazir - Minister of Transport conducted an inspection tour to follow up on the progress in the implementation rates of the East Nile Monorail Project, which extends from the Stadium Station in Nasr City to the Adala City Station in the Administrative Capital, with a length of 56.5 km and includes 22 stations and is being implemented from During the alliance of companies (Alstom - Orascom - Arab Contractors)
This tour comes within the framework of implementing the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, to expand the establishment of a network of green, sustainable, and environmentally friendly public transportation.
The tour included following up on the final touches to finish the finishing work of Field Marshal Tantawi Station and the progress of the work being carried out at the various stations up to Station No. 1 in Youssef Abbas in Nasr City, where the internal finishing and external cladding works are being carried out after the completion of the implementation of its concrete and metal structure. The Minister was briefed on the passengers’ itinerary. The Minister followed up on the progress in the rates of implementation of the project path, stressing the necessity of continuing to carry out the work of restoring the thing to its original state in the various project sectors, as happened in the Field Marshal sector. The Minister also reviewed with the Chairman and leaders of the National Tunnels Authority the progress in the rates of implementation of the command and control center, which has an area of about 85 acres (356,248 m2), which includes 13 buildings, as well as the rate of supply of trains, as each one arrived.
