The Minister of Transport witnesses the signing of the executive protocol for the inauguration of the Egyptian Academy of Rail Transport programs between the French company Alstom and a number of bodies affiliated with the Ministry of Transport • The protocol comes within the framework of the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, to pay attention to the human element and train it on the latest types of technology, in cooperation with international companies. Ramy Salah El-Din, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Alstom Egypt for transportation projects The Minister of Transport stated that the signing of this protocol comes within the framework of the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, to pay attention to the human element and train it on the latest types of technology in cooperation with international companies, especially in light of the great development in the transport system in Egypt. Advanced technology in this field and meeting the requirements of the labor market required by environmentally friendly green sustainable mass transit projects, which His Excellency the President directed to expand its establishment. This protocol also aims to build a large base of manpower and human elements trained in various technical fields such as mobile units, communication systems and signals And strong, central control and maintenance of the railway sectors, all in order to improve the human element as the backbone for the growth and development of the transport system in Egypt The minister stated that the necessary steps and special arrangements have already been taken to start implementing all the programs of the Academy initiative, as the first programs of the Academy will be implemented starting tomorrow, Wednesday, March 22, at the National Institute of Transport, to ensure that all initiative programs are completed according to the timetable during the validity period of the protocol, in order to move forward with the implementation. The objectives of the initiative and its purpose, adding that the academy will offer three programs for the participants in various technical aspects in the fields of railways and metro, as follows: First: The specialized program in partnership with the National Authority for Railways of Egypt and the National Authority for Tunnels to train 200 engineers with the aim of expanding the perceptions of the trainees in various aspects of transport systems on modern technology in various technical fields such as (mobile units - communication and signaling systems - power electricity - control Central - maintenance and operation workshops) through holding training courses by experts accredited by the French company Alstom in various technical disciplines Second: The technical program in partnership with the National Institute of Transport to train 30 newly graduated engineers from various Egyptian universities to develop their technical competence and provide learning opportunities and benefit from scientific expertise in the various fields of railways and transport planning with the aim of qualifying them to meet the requirements of the labor market in the field of railway transport. Third: The technical training program, in partnership with the Higher Institute of Transportation Technology - Wardan, to train 70 students at the institute to acquire practical skills through training courses and field visits to sites on methods of operation and maintenance of modern systems in the various fields of railways and transport. For his part, Andrew Dillon - Regional President of the French international Alstom company, confirmed that the signing of this protocol stems from the company's social responsibility in light of the strategic cooperation between Alstom and the Ministry of Transport to ensure the presence of a trained and qualified workforce to support the growth of sustainable transportation systems in Egypt by enabling participants to learn from Experts from Alstom University and leading transportation engineering experts discuss integrated systems for a greener, smarter transportation future around the world. This signature comes as a continuation of the existing cooperation between the two sides in the implementation of a number of projects such as the monorail project and the manufacture and supply of 55 new air-conditioned metro trains for the first line of the metro, which makes the trainees qualified for all types of technology for modern means of transportation.
