During his tour of this distance, the Minister followed the work of implementing the railway bridge and a number of bridges of the electric express train intersections with the main roads, such as the intersecting bridges with the Burj Al Arab and Gharbaniyat roads, the Muhammad Najib Base Road, Al-Ameed, Al-Jabasat, Wadi Al-Natroun, Al-Alamein, Petroleum and Sidi Abdul Rahman. The minister directed the implementation of all works according to quality measurements We work around the clock to complete the project according to the planned date, especially with the importance of the project, which is the beginning of the rapid electric train network system that is being implemented and which will represent a new civilized shift in the means of transportation in Egypt.
The Minister of Transport confirmed that all civil and construction works are carried out by major Egyptian companies specialized in these fields, in addition to industrial works on roads intersecting with the train track, under the supervision of the general consultant of the French project "Systra".
The Minister of Transport also directed the necessity of coordinating with all concerned state agencies and the governorates through which the express train tracks pass, in order to take into account the projects being implemented as well as the planned implementation, in order to work on the integration of the various means of transportation and to avoid any conflict in the ongoing and planned national projects.
It is worth mentioning that the network of high-speed electric trains that is under construction consists of 3 lines covering all parts of the Republic with a total length of up to 2000 km. The length of the first line is 660 km, Ain Sukhna, El Alamein Matrouh, Fayoum, and the design speed of the project trains is 250 km / h, the operational speed of the trains is 230 km / h, and the speed of the trains is 230 km / h.
