The National Authority for Tunnels and the French company RATP, the operator of the third green line of the metro, celebrated the graduation of the first batch of new drivers who were trained in the operating and driving systems of the metro cars of the third line, during a ceremony in the presence of Dr. Engineer Essam Wali Raeis. Dr. Engineer Essam Wali, head of the National Authority for Tunnels, said that the partnership between the government and the French company RATP Dev comes in implementation of the directions of the political leadership in cooperation with the private sector, and its involvement in development projects, explaining that cooperation with RATP Dev achieves the goals of the Authority and the Ministry of Transport in general for the company’s offering of International experiences in the transportation sector for the Egyptian market through its role in operating and managing this vital facility, which depends on highly trained cadres, where more than 90% of them are appointed from local cadres, explaining that the international standards that the company follows in the administration are among its objectives to develop services Ensuring the quality and safety of citizens.
The CEO of the French company said that the graduation of drivers contributes to raising employment rates and providing real job opportunities for the Egyptian people in one of the most important national and vital projects related to facilitating the lives of citizens, explaining that the company is keen to develop the operating system for the third line of the metro, raise the level of maintenance and provide the best services to Egyptians. By transferring its many years of experience in many countries of the world to Egypt.
