1. Implementation of the extension of the second metro line to the ring road

   
   

   The second metro line will be extended from after Shubra El-Kheima station by a length of 3.2 km and 3 stations to reach the Ring Road to achieve service interchange with the BRT shuttle bus.

2. Project objective

   
   

   - To accommodate the increasing transportation demands along the route.
   
   - To integrate with the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system and other public and private transportation options on the ring road to reduce congestion, accidents, and traffic jams. - To provide a safe, modern, and environmentally friendly mode of transportation. - To reduce vehicle usage, thereby lowering maintenance costs and emissions from surface vehicles.
