Supply of (55) trains for the first line, including maintenance
In November 2021, a contract was signed for the design, manufacture, testing, preparation for service, supply of (55) trains for the first line, supply of workshop equipment, and provision of 8 years of maintenance for the trains with the French company Alstom for a period of 75 months.

Rehabilitation of 23 trains for the first line
In November 2021, a contract was signed with the Spanish company (CAF) to renew (23) trains (which were supplied by the Japanese company Mitsubishi during the period from 1994 to 2004) for a period of 65 months in addition to a 24-month warranty for each train.

2. Development of the first line of the metro Helwan - New Marg
On 8/28/2024, a contract was signed to develop signaling, communications, central control, track works, electromechanical works, and electrical power works with an alliance led by Colas Rail, and to improve the design frequency to (2.5 minutes instead of 4.5 minutes) to accommodate the steady increase in the number of passengers using the metro lines. - On 10/31/2022, a contract was signed with the consultant Systra to carry out the consulting work and supervise the implementation.

Tora Workshop Development
On 7/24/2024, the work was awarded to the Arab Contractors Company, and the contract is being signed by the contractor.
