Supply of 7 trains for the second line (including maintenance)
On 8/24/2022, the contract was signed with the South Korean Hyundai Rotem Company alliance and the Egyptian National Railways Manufacturing Company (NERC) to manufacture and localize the manufacture of (40) metro trains with a total of (320 cars), 7 trains for the second line and 33 trains for the third line with a two-year warranty period followed by a maintenance period of (8) years, including the supply of spare parts and the implementation of (1) major overhaul.
