Phases 2, 3 and 4 of the fourth metro line


  1. Phase 2 (El Fostat – New Cairo)


    Extends from El Fustat Station over a total length of 26.9 km, 21 stations (6 elevated and 15 underground). It begins along Salah Salem Road in a tunnel section, intersecting with Metro Line 6 at El Sayeda Aisha Station. It then proceeds through Tayaran Street and Nasr City along Anwar El Mofty Street, where it provides an interchange with the East Nile Monorail at Tayaran Station. The alignment continues along Hafez Ibrahim Street, then crosses Shinzo Abe Axis, extending eastward through Ahmed El Zomor Street and El Mithaq Street. It transitions to a surface alignment over Majid Al Futtaim Bridge until it intersects with the Ring Road, then proceeds in an elevated section in front of the Police Academy. Then continues eastward along El Sadat Axis, then turns north along Mostafa Kamel Axis, terminating at the Main Depot for Metro Line 4, located north of the Ring Road intersection with the Cairo–Suez Road, marking the end of Phase Two.

  2. Phase 3 of Line 4 (Ashgar Gardens - Al Hosary)


    The implementation of the third phase of the line (Ashgar Gardens - Al-Hosary) is being studied, with a length of 16.3 km and 10 stations.

  3. Phase Four (New Cairo – Capital Airport)


    The fourth phase of the line (New cairo - Capital Airport) is being studied, with a length of 38.7 km and 8 stations
