Development systems of line 2 metro

1. Development of line2 metro systems

   
   

   Some systems will be updated and replaced with new ones, such as signaling, central control and communications systems, and an additional 25-year lifespan will be increased. A study will also be conducted (adding doors on sidewalks - a case study of civil works for the line - a case study of systems not covered by the contract).

2. The aim of the project

   
   

   Raising the efficiency of some systems, such as air conditioning, ventilation, drainage, elevators and
   railway engineering, and increasing their life span by an additional 25 years.
   Overcoming the problem of lack of spare parts due to outdated systems
   Adding some modern systems aimed at improving the service provided to the public of passengers
   Reducing the cost of maintenance, which will have a return on the economy and reduce operating
   costs
   

3. Rehabilitation of 35 trains and maintenance of 39 trains

   
   

   In November 2021, a memorandum of understanding was signed with a consortium of companies (Spanish CAF - Japanese Mitsubishi) for a period of 3 months, and an offer will be made to modernize the old and new Japanese trains for the line.
