The first phase of the fourth metro line

1. The importance of the project

   
   

   The connection between the governorates of Cairo and Giza and the city of Sixth of October.• Passenger transport service in areas with high population density.• Improving the economic and social level in the areas passed by the line and contributing to achieving sustainable development in the transport sector.• Serving the tourism sector due to its passage through many cultural tourist sites.

2. The path

   
   

   It extends from the west of the ring road on the borders of Sixth of October City, passing through the Grand Egyptian Museum station, then the Shooting Square, then Al-Haram Street until Giza Station, and then continues to Fostate Station over a length of 19 km and includes 17 stations (16 underground), which are (Fostate – King Saleh – Rawda - Giza Square – Giza – Al-Masaha – Madkour – Talbiya – Al-Matba’a – Arish – Marioutiya – Pyramids – Al-Rimaya – Grand Egyptian Museum – Nasr – Al-Ahram Gardens) + (1 surface) which is (Al-Ashjar Gardens).

4. Exchange stations

   
   

   The phase enables passenger exchange service with the second metro line at Giza station and with the first metro line at King Salah station.

5. Capacity

   
   

   The fourth line is expected to transport about 1.5 million passengers daily after its completion.
