Line 6 of the subway

  1. Metro line 6 (El-Khsos- Sawah- Fostat- al maadi al jadida)

The sixth line achieves economic feasibility in terms of saving time by reducing traffic congestion by reducing the number of surface trips for different means of transportation.
Connecting the north of Cairo to its south and meeting the intensive transportation demands along the axis of the line from the Khoss area in the north to the new Maadi area.
It achieves great savings in travel time for metro users as well as for other surface transportation.
Improving the economic and social level in the areas the line passes through and contributing to achieving sustainable development in the transport sector in Cairo.
Preserving the natural and social environment and the health of citizens as a result of reducing environmental pollution and noise by using clean electric energy from the initial design stages and during project implementation and operation periods.
The exchange of service with metro lines, where the sixth line will intersect with the first, third and fourth lines, reducing journey times for passengers along the line's path.
Providing direct and indirect job opportunities during the project implementation phase and then during the operation of the line after entering service.
