The path
• The second line extends from Hadayek October station to Abu Simbel city, with a length of 1100 km west of the Western Desert Road of Upper Egypt. The stations will be built in areas where the Nile axes intersect, and the line includes 36 stations (10 stations for the express train - 26 stations for the regional train).

Operating speed
The high-speed train travels at a speed of 250 kilometers/hour, the regional train at 160 kilometers/hour, and the freight train at 120 kilometers/hour.

Exchange stations
The connection of all governorates of Upper Egypt extending along the valley in the north of the republic will be achieved, exchanging service with the first line of the network at the October Gardens Station and with the third line of the network at Qena Station.

Capacity
It is planned for this line to transport 1.3 million passengers daily and 11,000000 tons of goods daily.

Civil works by "Major Egyptian Contracting Companies", systems works (signals – communications – electromechanical works - etc.) and manufacturing and supplying mobile units of all types by "Siemens Germany".
