The path
It extends from the Fayoum/Beni Suef station to the city of Abu Simbel, covering a distance of 1100 km west of the Western Desert Road in Upper Egypt, with stations to be constructed at the intersections of the Nile axes. The line includes a total of 36 stations (10 high-speed train stations and 26 regional train stations).

Operating speed
The high-speed train travels at a speed of 230 kilometers/hour, the regional train at 160 kilometers/hour, and the freight train at 120 kilometers/hour.

Exchange stations
The connection of all governorates of Upper Egypt extending along the valley in the north of the republic will be achieved, exchanging service with the first line of the network at the October Gardens Station and with the third line of the network at Qena Station.

Capacity
It is planned for this line to transport 1.3 million passengers daily and 10,000 tons of goods daily.

Civil works by "Major Egyptian Contracting Companies", systems works (signals – communications – electromechanical works - etc.) and manufacturing and supplying mobile units of all types by "Siemens Germany".
