  1. The importance of the project


    • It is considered a modern, safe, and highly efficient means of transportation that meets the needs of citizens. It is also environmentally friendly as it operates on electricity and has a consumption rate that is 30% lower than other electric rail systems, which reduces harmful emissions and minimizes noise due to the trains running on rubber wheels. • It helps reduce environmental pollution and alleviates traffic congestion on major highways and streets, attracting passengers to use it instead of private cars to decrease fuel and energy consumption. • The East Nile Monorail serves the areas of Nasr City, New Cairo, and the New Administrative Capital, facilitating the transport of employees and newcomers from Cairo and Giza to New Cairo and the New Administrative Capital.

  2. The path


    It extends from Cairo Stadium Station in Nasr City to Justice City Station in the administrative capital, covering a distance of 56.5 km, and includes 22 stations.

  4. Exchange stations


    The passenger exchange is achieved with the third metro line at the Cairo Stadium station in Nasr City and with the second phase of the fourth metro line at the Hisham Barakat station in Nasr City, and in the future with the sixth metro line at the Nargis station in New Cairo, as well as with the Light Rail Transit (LRT) at the Arts and Culture City station in the New Administrative Capital.

  5. Capacity


    It is planned that the line will transport about 500,000 passengers daily once completed.
