President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and President Emmanuel Macron of the French Republic visited the Adly Mansour Central Interchange Station for mass transit on April 7, 2025, on the sidelines of the French President's high-level official visit to Egypt. The Official Spokesperson for the Presidency explained that the two presidents inspected the station and viewed the equipment and services that will benefit millions of Egyptians. They also toured the third line of the Cairo Metro. Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, the Official Spokesperson, added that the President praised the close cooperation between Egypt and France in the field of various types of transportation, appreciating the role of various French companies in implementing transportation-related projects in Egypt, particularly in Greater Cairo, which contributes to a qualitative shift in mass transit routes in Egypt. The President also affirmed the state's commitment to localizing transportation-related industries and increasing the proportion of local components in ongoing projects, emphasizing the need to adhere to the specified timetables for their implementation. The official spokesman stated that the French President, for his part, expressed his admiration for the advanced level of the transportation sector in Egypt, praising the modernization and development work witnessed in the infrastructure and means of transportation, and stressing France's keenness to participate in future development projects.
