The start of trial operation with passengers for the stations of th line3 phase 3B of the metro, which extends from Kit Kat to the final station at the Rod Al-Farag axis, starting on Monday morning, January 1, 2024.
Lieutenant General Engineer / Kamel Al-Wazir - Minister of Transport announced that based on the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, to provide advanced, safe and distinguished mass transportation services to citizens to facilitate their various movements, it has been decided, starting from Monday morning, January 1, 2024, to trial operation with passengers for the second part of the third phase of the line. The third extends from Kit Kat until the final station at the Rawd al-Faraj axis, which includes 6 stations: (Sudan - Imbaba - Al-Buhi - Arab National - Ring Road - Rawd Al-Farag Axis) in order to serve citizens and students in the areas through which this part passes, which are characterized by dense population. It is high that the operation of this project for citizens is a gift from His Excellency the President to the people of Greater Cairo on the occasion of the beginning of the Gregorian year.
It is worth noting that with the trial operation with passengers of the second part of the third phase of the line, the third line has been operated from Adly Mansour, passing through Kit Kat, to the Rod Al-Farag axis, and only the third part of the third phase remains, which extends from Kit Kat to Cairo University, which is currently being operated experimentally without passengers. In preparation for starting its operation with passengers during the coming period.
The third line exchanges passenger transport service with the first line at Nasser Station, with the second line at Ataba and Cairo University stations, and with the light electric train at Adly Mansour Central Station, and is integrated with the East Nile Monorail at Stadium Station and with the West Nile Monorail at Wadi Nile Station.
