Where the Minister of Transport inspected the various sectors of the project to follow up on the project implementation rates (civil works - electromechanical works), and where the tour began by inspecting the Administrative Capital sector, where the Minister followed up on the implementation of the work at the command and control center, which is located on an area of 85 acres (356,248 m2) and includes 13 buildings. The most important of them is (the Administration and Control Building), through which all systems along the track are monitored, as well as the trains’ paths are controlled, and the track is supplied with electricity necessary for operation, as well as periodic maintenance work is carried out during the period when trains stop - (the Serious and Medium Umrah Building), in which maintenance work is carried out. Periodic and major maintenance of trains - (electric power station), which feeds all systems in the stations with the electricity necessary for operation (lighting - stairs - elevators -......) - (train storage yard), which consists of 5 tracks with a length of 750 meters on an area of 19 208 square meters with a storage capacity for 44 trains, in addition to a number of other buildings such as guard buildings, train washing building, train inspection area, waste management and risk storage building, water management station building, and a fuel station. The Minister of Transport inspected the work being carried out at the stations and along the route, including “installing track beams and the metal emergency walkway (used in the event of an emergency)”, and the internal finishing works and external cladding of the stations after completing the implementation of the concrete and metal structure for them. The Minister directed that the work of restoring the thing to its original condition be carried out in all the ways available in the project implementation sectors, and the necessity of working around the clock and exerting the utmost effort to complete the implementation of the project according to the specified timetable, as it is one of the means of mass transportation that will serve the new republic, the foundations of which were laid by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. It should also be noted that the monorail project is being implemented in Egypt for the first time and will represent a major cultural shift in mass transportation, which is characterized by being fast, modern, safe, and environmentally friendly, and saves fuel consumption. It reduces environmental pollution rates, eases traffic congestion on main axes and streets, and attracts passengers to use them instead of private cars to reduce fuel and fuel consumption.
