The minister confirmed that the number of passengers using the light electric train is increasing day after day, especially after the operation of bus lines from the new urban cities to the electric train stations and vice versa, which appeared daily through the increase in the demand for train rides, in addition to the use of parking spaces adjacent to the stations, pointing out that The Ministry of Transport aims to reduce the use of private cars and rely on mass transportation to reduce crowding, achieve fuel savings and reduce environmental pollution, indicating that the light electric train (LRT) is part of the green, sustainable, environmentally friendly mass transportation system that is currently being implemented in implementation of the directives of His Excellency the President.
