The Minister of Transport witnesses the start of the trial operation with passengers for the first part of the third phase of the third metro line extending from Ataba station to Kit Kat, passing through Nasser, Maspero and Safa Hijazi stations
Minister:
1. The trial operation with passengers will last for a month, and the official opening of the actual operation with passengers during the COP27 climate conference next November
2. The project is considered one of the green, sustainable, environmentally friendly mass transportation that will serve the new republic, whose rules have been established by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic.

Based on the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, President of the Republic, to operate the first part of the third phase of the third line of the subway for passengers on the occasion of the celebration of the glorious October 6 feasts and to facilitate the movement of people in the areas surrounding the High Court and Maspero areas, Zamalek and Kit Kat. The minister’s visit began with a visit to Nasser station, which is an interchange station with the first metro line, which will have a total area after the opening of this part of the line 10,000 square meters, consisting of 4 floors, 52 ticket gates, 4 automatic ticketing machines (TVM) to obtain tickets, and the number of 37 stairs. Electricity from the street level to the station platform, and His Excellency confirmed that this stage has been implemented at the highest level of quality, as the stations are air-conditioned.
