Then the two sides reviewed the executive position of the fourth metro line, where they reviewed the works of the western part of the civil works of the project (the tree gardens - the space), which is being implemented by the “Arab Contractors - Petrojet - Concorde - Hassan Allam” consortium, where the number of stations from the tree gardens were delivered. Up to the shooting station in the entire area for the contractor, and from the Pyramids station to the Al-Missa station, a partial handover. As for the works of the eastern part of the civil works of the project (Al-Massaha - Al-Fustat), an international public tender was announced and won by Orascom Contracting, and the electromechanical works were also discussed. The railway and the workshop, where a contract for the implementation of the works was signed with the union of “Mitsubishi / Orascom” companies, and the contract entered into force. 23 trains for the project will be supplied within 72 months, including the trial operation period. The latest developments related to the Japanese side's provision of a grant to finance the study of extending the first phase of the fourth metro line to the city of Paradise in the south for a distance of 4.5 km on the surface to serve the sectors of the 6th of October City located south of Al-Wahat Al Bahariya Road and to serve the population density and provide an electric and environmentally friendly means of transportation in this The region, and achieving integration with other means of transportation in the region, in addition to the passage of the fast electric train track (Ain Sokhna - Marsa Matrouh) near this region. The Minister of Transport stressed the importance of the fourth metro line and its future role in serving the archaeological areas in Giza and the Grand Egyptian Museum, linking the far west of Greater Cairo to the far east, as well as accommodating the heavy surface transport movement on the route of the line, such as the Haram area, and contributing to achieving sustainable development in the Greater Cairo Region. and eliminate the problem of environmental pollution. The Japanese ambassador thanked the Minister of Transport for the positive cooperation in transport projects, stressing the full support of the Japanese side for such projects that serve the citizens. At the end of the meeting, arrangements for the participation of the Egyptian Minister of Transport, commissioned by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic and on behalf of his Excellency, in the memorial service of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzwabi during the coming period, were discussed. Shinzo Abe, who described him as a great man who loved peace, development and Egypt, pointing out that Egypt had named his name before that on a major important traffic axis in Cairo in appreciation of him.
