This tour comes within the framework of preparations and preparations to hand over to Siemens the first 40 km of the first line project for the rapid electric train, Ain Sukhna / El Alamein / Matrouh / Fayoum, within the scope of the New Administrative Capital Station, starting from next October, to implement the railway works, systems, and the electrical pneumatic feeding network. The project, as well as the electromechanical works of signals, communications and control systems at this distance after the completion of the civil works in it, in preparation for the launch of the first line project of the high-speed train network on November 7, according to the directives of the political leadership
The tour began by following up the track link from Sokhna station to Ain Sokhna port with a length of about 6 km, which is the link with the first line project of the express train network to serve goods transportation to and from the port through this network. Then the minister headed to Ain Sokhna station, where he continued the progress of The implementation works of the station that will serve the Ain Sukhna area, whether the tourist areas on the Red Sea, the industrial areas, as well as the Ain Sukhna port area, and its services can extend to the new investment areas in the area, as well as the new city of Suez, which is a final station for the line, and the percentage of completion has been reviewed, and the Minister continued. Pavement works and the track bridge at the station, as well as the industrial works in the Sokhna area from the track bridges or car bridges on the track for the roads intersecting with the project
The Minister of Transport also followed up the progress of the implementation rates of the Capital Station, which is an interchange station with the LRT electric light rail and is considered a center for various means of transportation coming to the Administrative Capital and serving mainly the New Administrative Capital and the Sports City, as well as all new cities in eastern Cairo, as it is one of the largest stations in the Middle East It covers an area of more than 1,100,000 square meters in parking areas and commercial areas
Then the minister continued the progress of the implementation rates of the Mohamed Naguib station, which serves the areas of Katameya, New Cairo and the new urban areas located south of Ain Sukhna Road.
The Minister also inspected the first sector of the railway bridge, which will be handed over to Siemens on the first of October to check on the readiness to hand this sector on time to Siemens to carry out electromechanical works, provided that the rest of the project sectors are handed over to the company after the completion of the civil works in them according to the contract. with the company.
The timeline for the implementation of civil works for the various sectors of the project was also followed up, such as the train bridge works, which include earthworks, foundation, industrial works, and slopes concrete, which protect the sides of the bridge, as well as stations such as Mohamed Naguib, Cairo, October, October Gardens, Sphinx, Wadi Al-Natrun and other stations. It includes track bridges and car bridges, such as the 4.5 kilo bridge, which is 300 meters long, and the khors, which are implemented by major national specialized Egyptian companies, in conjunction with the periodic and continuous supervision of the international company Systra, the project consultant for all stages of implementation of this vital and important project.
