The central station (Capital Station) was also inspected to follow up on the advanced rates of its implementation in the main buildings of the station. The implementation of the station’s berths has also been started. This station is an interchange station with the LRT light rail. It is considered a center for various means of transportation that mainly serves the New Administrative Capital, the Sports City and all cities. These works are carried out by the largest specialized Egyptian companies The Minister of Transport directed the need to continue coordination with all relevant state agencies and the governorates through which the express train tracks pass, in order to take into account the projects being implemented as well as the planned implementation, in order to work on the integration of the various means of transportation and to avoid any conflict in the ongoing and planned projects. The Minister met with the workers and engineers participating in the project, and the Minister of Transport stressed the need to intensify work and work around the clock to complete the implementation of the project at the planned time, especially with the importance of this project, which is one of the pillars of the network of rapid electric trains that are being implemented and which will represent a new civilized shift in the means of transportation in Egypt. It is worth mentioning that the network of fast electric trains that is under construction consists of 3 lines covering all parts of the Republic with a total length of up to 2000 km. The length of the first line, Ain Sukhna, El Alamein, Matrouh, Fayoum is 660 km. The design speed of the project trains is 250 km / h, the operational speed of the trains is 230 km / h, and the speed of the trains is 230 km / h. The operation of regional electric trains is 160 km/h, and the speed of electric cargo tractors is 120 km/h. The project includes 22 stations, including 10 express train stations and 12 regional stations, indicating that the locations of the stations have been completed and a decision of public interest has been issued from The beginning of the project path in Ain Sukhna to Matrouh city The express train project will contribute to providing job opportunities, reducing traffic congestion, achieving higher levels of safety for passengers, a better impact on the environment, aiding economic development, strengthening the infrastructure of the region, and helping to contain urban sprawl. Also, the implementation of a fast electric train line (passengers and goods) linking the city of Ain Sukhna on the Red Sea coast until the city of Matrouh on the Mediterranean coast, passing through the new administrative capital, the 6th of October city, the new city of Burj Al Arab and Al Alamein will contribute to linking the new administrative capital and the new cities with a rail network to transport passengers and goods through a fast, modern and safe means of transportation And the rapid electric train system, which will cover all parts of the Republic, besides being development arteries serving the new and existing urban and industrial areas, will contribute to reducing and shortening the travel time between governorates to more than half the time that the citizen currently takes, whether through the old train network or through the current roads linking the governorates. The project will contribute to the establishment of new logistic areas that serve all the industrial or agricultural areas passing through, as it contributes to the transportation of products from them or the transport of raw materials to them quickly and safely.
