Supply of 33 trains
On 8/24/2022, the contract was signed with the South Korean Hyundai Rotem Company and the Egyptian National Railways Manufacturing Company (NERC) to manufacture and localize the manufacture of (40) metro trains with a total of (320 cars), 7 trains for the second line and 33 trains for the third line with a two-year warranty period followed by a maintenance period of (8) years, including the supply of spare parts and the implementation of (1) major overhaul.
