  1. Kotsika Workshop (First Line)


    Kotsika Workshop (First Line) Establishing an overhaul and storage workshop for mobile units in Kotsika An area of about 15 acres The workshop is located between the Kotsika and Tora Cement stations for the first line. A light Umrah workshop was established on an area of about 15 acres to maintain and store the new trains that were added to work on the first line (20 trains). The project includes construction and finishing works for 21 buildings, 20 storage rails, 3 fuel, drainage and water tanks, signals and communications works, and electromechanical works. Trial operation began on 2/1/2021, and it is being prepared to enter service.

  2. Marj duplication - first line


    Marj duplication - first line Track length: 1.36 km The project included duplicating the track between the Al-Marj and New Al-Marj stations, installing an aerial network to accommodate operation up to Al-Marj Al-Jadidah, installing signaling and control devices along the track and linking them with the central control devices of the line, and implementing an electrical equipment room to strengthen the power to accommodate the trains after the duplication. The goal of the project is to improve the level of service provided between Al-Marj and New Al-Marg stations by reaching a trickle time of 2:30 minutes. The journey time from Helwan to New Marj has been reduced to 75 minutes instead of 90 minutes. All work was completed and the line was operated automatically for the public on 1/30/2021.

  3. Supply of 6 trains + 2 tractors (second line)


    Supply of 6 trains + 2 tractors (second line) On August 6, 2019, a contract was signed to manufacture and supply 6 trains with the Korean company Hyundai Rotem, in addition to a contract to maintain the trains and supply the necessary spare parts for them for a period of eight years after the warranty period, including a major overhaul, as well as signing a contract to supply (2) tractors from the Socoover company. French, in addition to an eight-year maintenance contract after the warranty period, including a major overhaul.

  4. Installing 850 ticket gates for the two lines


    Installing 850 ticket gates for the two lines 605 gates were supplied and installed for the first line + 125 issuing machines + 35 station control units, one for each station + 2 central control units. 466 gates were supplied and installed for the second line + 25 issuing machines + 20 station control units + a central control unit. Revenue Collection Systems France SAS supplied and installed 83 TVM machines for the first and second lines, to facilitate and reduce crowding in front of the ticket windows in Stations, through which one can purchase single-trip tickets or charge the smart card used as a cash wallet for boarding the metro lines, and through them one can also charge and renew subscriptions.
