It extends in the south from the Christmas Cathedral station to the Central Capital Station, to exchange service with the high-speed train "Ain Sukhna / Matrouh", with a length of 20.4 km, with 4 stations "3 upper + 1 surface" (Cathedral of the Nativity - Strategic Command - International Sports City - Central Capital).

Phase 4
On 3/22/2021, the President of the Republic approved the implementation of an extension of the line to the large population bloc in 10th of Ramadan City, “the fourth phase,” with a length of 16 km to serve the residents of 10th of Ramadan to move easily south to the Administrative Capital and west to the Adly Mansour interchange station, which connects the train line. Electric with the third line of the Greater Cairo Metro to integrate rail transportation between the 10th of Ramadan City and other cities along the route extending north from the New Obour City station to the City Center station with a length of 16 km (7.2 km overhead track and 9.3 km surface track) with a number of 3 stations, “2 overhead + 1 surface” (West 10th - 10th of Ramadan - City Center).

Phase5 under studying
It extends from the Central Capital Station in the New Administrative Capital, crossing the Cairo - Ain Sokhna Road, all the way to the Industrial Zone of the Administrative Capital, with a length of about 5.5 km and 1 station.

Signing an agreement for the implementation of the third phase of the electric train project (Al-Salam - the new administrative capital) with the Chinese alliance of AFIC companies
The LRT project, linking the new administrative capital, with Cairo and Giza governorates and the downtown area achieves, the dream of Egypt, leadership and people, to implement the first global city in Egypt, which was planned and implemented to be the largest political and economic center in the Middle East and Africa. This connection will facilitate the transferring of passengers with a safe and non-polluting means of transport. The LRT Line will serve about 500 k passenger/day, the LRT will achieve connections with Cairo Metro – Line 3 through Adly Mansour Station which is currently being carried out development work around the area to implement an integrated transport complex with a total area about 15 acres serving the interchange with 5 various transportations.
